Pollution

Pollution is when contaminants are introduced into a natural environment and cause unfavorable changes. The pollution we know and love today started during the Industrial Revolution. Since then, our environment has changed drastically. Here are only a few mind blowing statistics caused by our pollution: more than 3 million under the age of five die due to environmental factors every year, 1.2 trillion gallons of untreated wastes are dumped into U.S. waters every year, and 40% of lakes in the U.S. are too polluted fishing and swimming. Many forms of pollution include: water pollution and air pollution. Take action before it’s too late!
